Mark your calendars for Friday, February 17 as Hope Rising presents Connections Band in a free benefit concert!
Connections is a band comprised of United Methodist clergy members. The band formed several years ago as the result of a jam session of Dan Fogelberg songs during a clergy retreat. The band’s current repertoire includes tributes to James Taylor, Carole King, The Eagles, Chicago, Elton John and The Doobie Brothers.
Band members say it’s not much of a sacrifice to give up their time to play secular music for charity because they pick music they like. Their music is what you enjoy singing in the car when you think no one is watching.
This rocking, family safe evening of entertainment will benefit Stronger Than Espresso, whose mission is to encourage, educate and train survivors of domestic abuse. Admission is free with donations accepted.
Produced by Hope Rising and graciously hosted by the First United Methodist Church of McKinney, the concert will be held in Dyer Hall at 7:00 p.m., Doors will open at 6:00 p.m. for the silent auction. First United Methodist Church is located at 315 N Church St, McKinney, Texas 75069.
