Hope Rising proudly brought Eve Ensler’s THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES back to McKinney on Friday, April 4 and Saturday, April 5, 2014. This year’s production was new and even more exciting than last year, raising more than $9,800 for The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center!
Eve Ensler’s THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES is based on interviews with over 200 women about their memories and experiences of sexuality. Eve Ensler’s Obie Award-winning masterpiece The Vagina Monologues gives voice to women’s deepest fantasies and fears, guaranteeing that no one who sees it will ever look at a woman’s body, or think of sex, in quite the same way again.
A poignant and hilarious tour of the last frontier, the ultimate forbidden zone, The Vagina Monologues is a celebration of female sexuality in all its complexity and mystery. In this stunning phenomenon that has swept the nation, Eve Ensler gives us real women’s stories of intimacy, vulnerability, and sexual self-discovery.
The 2014 cast of THE VAGINA MONOLOGUES included many beautiful and brave women. We also had a number of very supportive men on our crew helping to make us all look and sound good. Learn more about this amazing group of people!
All proceeds for this year’s show benefited The Turning Point Rape Crisis Center, Collin County’s ONLY Rape Crisis Center.
Tickets were general admission, $25 per person (+$2 mpac fee) and included an After Party with the Cast and Organizations in the Collin County Area who Aide in Women’s Services with a Silent Auction and Door Prizes.
